This is the website of St Catharine’s College Cambridge’s Amnesty chapter, where you can find information about the latest Urgent Actions, news updates, what’s going on in college Amnesty meetings, and how you can get involved.
What we do
Letter writing meetings happen in several locations this term. Firstly on Monday evenings, letter writing will be happening from 8pm at the student run community cafe Cafe Project (22 Jesus Lane), where you will find a range of tea and homemade cake. See www.cafeproject.org/
There will also be meetings in college, in the JCR or bar, accompanied by chocolate.
Additionally letter writing meetings at Chads accomodation are being trialled…
We’ll write letters addressing Urgent Action issues, which are emailed to us on a weekly basis by Cambridge Amnesty. It’s a wholly social and informal atmosphere — anyone can join in and we encourage you to bring your friends. We’ll provide all the letter-writing equipment — all you have to do is bring yourselves!
Catz Amnesty also participates in university-wide events organized by CUAI; see their website for more details. We’ll keep you posted on the blog, too.
